Alpaca Socks for Maximum Comfort
Cool in the summer, cosy in the winter.
Alpaca fleece consists of hollow, smooth fibres that hold pockets of air, resulting in a superior insulating factor compared to sheep’s wool. This also increases breathability, so that your feet will stay cool in the summer and very cosy in the winter.
Another benefit of the smooth fibres is a low prickle factor, making our socks incredibly soft. But don’t be fooled, alpaca fibre is extremely strong and durable, and, when properly cared for, will easily outlive other types of wool and cotton.
Hygienic, tolerant wool.
Another amazing attribute of alpaca fleece is its natural ability to repel bacteria resulting in minimised odours and excellent foot hygiene. Our socks can usually be worn for an entire week, with light airing out overnight, before needing to be washed!
Our alpaca range can also be worn by those who normally don’t tolerate wool against their skin. This is due to alpaca fleece being lanolin-free and hence hypoallergenic.
