DESCRIPTION
These slouchy socks are made from 70% Alpaca, 30% Falklands Merino and a tiny bit of elastane at the top, making them far softer than you’d think possible and exceptionally warm.
These alpaca socks are quite possibly the cosiest in our range but less hardwearing than our socks with added nylon, making them ideal for snuggling but not for wearing in boots.
Alpaca wool has superior insulating properties due to the structure of their fibres; this means that your feet will be kept nice and warm in the winter but you won't overheat in the summer! Falklands Merino Sheep are some of the hardiest sheep out there and provide that added bit of warmth you’re missing out on in socks with nylon.
Just like other natural wool, alpaca and merino wool have moisture wicking properties; these socks transport any moisture from your foot to the outside of the sock, keeping your feet dry and comfortable and making sure your body doesn’t overheat under the covers - which in turn makes for a better night’s sleep!
With a much lower micron than ordinary sheep's wool in both their alpaca and merino content, these socks are also much softer than ordinary wool products and shouldn’t irritate your skin.
